Terms of Service

Effective 28 July 2026 · BaseStack, a product of BuiltStack, LLC ("we", "us").

These Terms govern your use of BaseStack. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use BaseStack on behalf of an agency, you represent that you're authorized to bind it.

1. The service

BaseStack is a real-estate CRM: lead pipelines, rental applications, document storage, tenant-screening invitations, an internal lead-matching engine, and public listing pages with showing requests. Features may change over time.

2. Accounts

• Provide accurate information and keep your login secure. One account per business phone number.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account and for your team members' use.

3. Subscription & billing

• BaseStack includes a 30-day free trial. After the trial, paid plans are $49/month per agent (or the price shown at signup), billed through our payment processor.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current period; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Referral credits: you earn one credit when someone you refer completes their trial and starts a paid subscription; five credits grant one free month. Credits have no cash value and may be modified or discontinued.

4. Your responsibilities (important)

You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your real-estate and CRM activity, including but not limited to:

• Fair Housing Act and applicable state/local law — no discrimination based on any protected class in your listings, matching, or client handling.
• Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) — obtain applicant consent before screening, use screening results lawfully, and provide any required adverse-action notice before denying an applicant. BaseStack is not a consumer reporting agency and does not make eligibility decisions.
• TCPA / CAN-SPAM — only message contacts who have given consent, and honor opt-outs.
• Providing your clients with appropriate privacy notices and handling their data lawfully. As between you and us, you are the controller of your client data.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use BaseStack to break the law, infringe rights, upload malware, scrape or resell the service, or store data you have no right to store.

6. Content & data

You retain rights to the content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it to provide the service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not a party to any transaction between you and your clients, and we don't guarantee matches, screening outcomes, message delivery, or results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Indemnification

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service or your breach of these Terms or of any law (including Fair Housing, FCRA, or TCPA).

9. Termination

You may stop using BaseStack anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law.

10. Governing law & changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
